David Zavimbe is the Batman of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. He’s the first black Batman and no one said a damn thing. He even got his own book in the New 52! In said book, DC premiered an entire team of African superheroes. This should have been a treated as a landmark development in American superhero fiction, and the media didn’t even blink.
